Equipment

The Sono Luminus studios are equipped to record up to 24 channels of DXD or DSD audio simultaneously in Pyramix 9, or 16 channels of 192khz audio simultaneously in Pro Tools.

Sono Luminus has a very carefully selected array of microphones, including condenser microphones by DPA, Schoeps, Neumann, Microtech Gefell and others, as well as ribbon microphones by AEA and Royer. The microphone selection is such that Sono Luminus is capable of recording 5 channel surround arrays with all matched microphones in either omni or cardiod condenser microphones, or bidirectional ribbons, as well as numerous spot microphone choices as needed or additional microphones to add additional mid channels for a 7 channel array.
