This newly remastered and repackaged, specially priced 6 CD box set features some of the most electric and engaging symphonic works of Latin American orchestras and conducted by one of Latin America's most preeminent conductors. The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Eduardo Mata, truly has brought Latin America Alive! Sadly, Mata was killed in a tragic plane crash on January 4, 1995. This set is a celebration of his life and work with this orchestra and will be followed by a remastered box set of his recordings on Dorian with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
